Terms of service

Botalive ("the service") is operated by Adido Ventures Sàrl, a limited liability company registered in Switzerland ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.

What the service does

Botalive receives heartbeat signals and optional backup files from software agents you control, stores them, detects missing or failed signals and sends you notifications. It also produces a weekly summary. It is a monitoring aid, not a guarantee that your agents run correctly.

Your account

You must provide a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential and for everything sent with it. Rotate it immediately if you suspect it leaked. One account per person or team; do not resell access.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to monitor or store anything unlawful, to attack or overload our systems, or to upload backups containing third parties' personal data that you are not permitted to process. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, exceed fair-use limits (more than one heartbeat per minute per monitor sustained, or backup volumes clearly outside plan limits) or fail to pay.

Plans and billing

Free, Pro and Team plans are described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance by Stripe, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Prices exclude VAT where applicable; tax is calculated at checkout based on your location. We do not refund partial periods except where the law requires it. We may change prices with 30 days' notice by email; changes apply at your next renewal.

Availability and liability

We aim for high availability but provide the service "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted operation, and we cannot guarantee that every missed run is detected or every alert delivered, since delivery depends on third parties (email providers, Slack, Discord, your own webhooks). To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss caused by agents that failed while unmonitored or by actions you take in response to an alert.

Your data

You keep all rights to your data. You grant us the right to store and process it only to provide the service. Backups are stored as opaque files; we do not inspect their content. See the privacy policy for details and retention. On account deletion all your data is removed immediately.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email at least 14 days ahead. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account. We may terminate for breach with notice, or discontinue the service with at least 60 days' notice and a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees.

Law and venue

Swiss law applies, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue is Geneva, Switzerland, unless mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise.
